Welcome into 2012

EHAP Logo Button

With the festive holidays firmly behind us EHAP is back and 'open for business'.

2012 promises to be a difficult year on a number of fronts as the UK Government's austerity measures really start to bite (see our previous article for new changes to Housing Benefit/Local Housing Allowance that are already with us).

Wider Welfare Reform measures are still a year or so away, but the general impact of the economic downturn is likely to increase pressure on household finances, with a knock-on impact on those struggling to maintain mortgage and rent payments.

It is important to remember that there are remedies out there for those in mortgage or rent arrears, and the earlier advice is sought the better.

EHAP Housing Advisers provide free, confidential and impartial advice aimed at, where possible, preventing homelessness and indentifying realistic housing options.

Make getting advice your New Year's resolution.  Don't leave it too late!

EHAP can be contacted through this website (here) or by phoning us on 0845 302 4607.  We can offer a range of appointment locations across the City.

Let's make 2012 a good year.
