EHAP Christmas Opening Hours
Edinburgh Housing Advice Partnership will be closed from 1pm on
Thursday 24th December until 9am on Tuesday 29th December. The
service will then reopen for telephone referrals only until 1pm on
Thursday 31st December. After New Year normal service will resume
on Tuesday 5th January.
In Housing Crisis?
Edinburgh Housing Advice Partnership is not a crisis service. If
you are in housing crisis please contact City of Edinburgh
Council's Housing Options Team on 0131 529
7368. They are based at 1 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh EH1
1BJ and the office is open during normal office hours.
Out of Hours
Alternatively, if you become homeless after office hours, you can
contact the Council's Out of Hours Service on Freephone
0800 032 5968.
Council Homeless Services
The housing team at The Access Point (TAP) located at 17 & 23
Leith Street offers a service to single people and couples aged 18
or over who are currently homeless. If you have nowhere to stay
tonight TAP can arrange an emergency interview for you with a duty
officer. Please note that at busy times you may have to wait to be

Independent Services
The StreetWork Crisis Centre offers a centre-based
drop-in service providing people access to expert advice and
assistance to help them resolve their crisis. There are also
facilities for people to eat, wash and keep warm on a temporary
basis whilst they resolve their crisis. The Crisis Service also
offers a 24/7 free phone advice number for those in housing crisis
Freephone 0808 178 2323. Alternatively, Shelter
provide a free housing advice helpline for advice over the phone.
